About SS 310H
SS 310H contains high carbon content and is highly preferred choice for the manufacturers of heat exchangers tubes. The grade is suitable for high temperature applications due to its good traits and high tolerance power. It has good oxidation resistance at high temperature and also suitable to be used in sulfur dioxide gas environment. However, the grade is not up to the mark to be used continuously at high temperature due to the carbide precipitation. The presence of chemical components such as Iron, chromium, nickel, manganese, silicon and carbon helps the grade in imparting its physical and mechanical properties.
Physical properties such as good general resistance, pitting resistance to chloride environment, stress crack corrosion resistance, crevice corrosion resistance and greater strength are some of the features. Mechanical properties such as god elongation, easy bending, high tensile and yield strength are some of the properties. Hence, the grade is perfectly suitable for the manufacturing of high quality Heat Exchanger Tubes.
